It's hard, but fun. It would probably be better if you could shoot in all eight directions, or if the enemies only shoot in four.

I think I do count six different colours being shown simultaneously at times: white, black, two shades of red for the background, and two shades of blue for the text dialog icons and border

I enjoyed playing this.

Congrats for your entry!

This kind of game is clearly too difficult for me, and therefore not my cup of tea, but I can feel the atmosphere you were aiming for and I think you did a pretty good job !

Also, it's a really nice addition you could release a GB Rom!

Developer

Sorry you find it too difficult, but that was entirely the intention!

nice that it is released as a proper gbc game! I think health would be a good addition (mainly so I can skip the start scene and get back to gameplay!). I like that the levels are randomized, too.

Great game, rooms feel unique and artstyle is consistent. Unfortunately, while I didn't notice it until I looked closely there I think there are more than 4 colors that show up at a time in some rooms. The difficulty could also use a little bit of tuning down. I feel like the player should either have some lives or the enemies should only be able to shoot in 4 directions. Other than that, good job on this!

The game is still in late beta, I'm mostly likely going to touch up on that issue at some point!
