What was the most challenging part of making your entry?
No one has a tutorial on how to make a Simon game using arrow keys so I had to figure that out myself.

What was the most fun part?
I think I got better at using arrays and lists!

Anything else to add? (important controls, assets used, special mentions, etc)
RT-Voice Pro used for text to speech. Made using Simon tutorial from BergZergArcade on youtube.

good job on the blind part of the game. The game really liked yellow and red for me. I got yellow, red, yellow, yellow, yellow, red ,red ,yellow  that was as far as I went.

LOL  Yeah, it does that sometimes. There will be runs where I can't get away from blue or green. Thanks for trying it out. :)

It was simple and fun.

I closed my eyes and remembered the colors on keyboard for the immersion. I managed to reach 8 points this way. Plus having the R button to tell your current points was very helpful.

It was rather nice and an interesting concept. Now that I played this, I wonder the possibilities to make games for blind people.

Thanks for trying it out. :)  Yep, it's very possible to make games for blind people. I already have a few on Itch that have been tested and approved by blind people. If you want to see how it's done, you can freely download and play them. Some of them require a controller for the full experience since I have rumble features. I usually put in the description if a controller is recommended.

Nice! I will try them out. There is a blind gamer called Terry, that he passed The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time.

In YouTube he is called TrueBlindGaming and he explains the different audio cues he uses in the game, to locate where he is.

Its really amazing the explanation he gives and I totally recommend watching the guy. Right off the bat in 01 Inside the Deku Tree you get some great examples.

Sadly I will have to wait to get a new controller, the current one I got is one of those cheap ones that doesn't even have a rumble feature. :(

Thanks for the recommendation! I'll definitely check him out. I see he has a video on Stardew Valley which definitely interests me since I want to be able to make a farming game but I wouldn't know how to effectively make that blind accessible. The text to speech part is easy but I wonder how they would know where they can and can't plant, whether it's watered, what stage its in, etc. Though I could probably make that information available at a button press using text to speech.

This was simple and fun idea, well executed. I like that when you used the arrow keys to press buttons it called out the colours but not when clicking with the mouse, good use of the text-to-speech system. Nice work!

Developer

Thanks! :)
