Not a bad start but the movement definitely needs some adjustments. I'm guessing it's velocity based? Because it seems you can move very quickly diagonally but left/right and up/down is like a crawl. I also think you could use some sort of story, even a simple one, to explain things. For instance, who am I playing as? Why are they here? What is their goal, and who are these horned creatures with clubs trying to stop me? These are the kinds of things its good to start thinking of early on when coming up with the idea. Also, I'm not sure if its a bug or you just didn't get around to making a third level but after beating level 2 the button for next level doesn't work :(
I think the characters in this game are really cute but don't really work great for a top-down game. I agree with others that the movement felt slow, and greatly affects the feel of the game. If this was a story-driven game where you are supposed to move through the levels slowly, having a slower character may be alright, but for a game like this it doesn't really work.
The game seems okay. I don't see the relevance to the theme, the settings for graphics doesn't really work either I think. The movement was a little slow and moving diagonally actually makes it move way faster. I think there are some tutorials online which allow you to solve this problem by fixing it to the same speed. The sound effects are pretty good and its a nice game overall. :)

Its a fun game player movement feels extremely heavy and this really has nothing to do with the theme. also when you going diagonal you move faster then you would going one direction its a fun game but these are hindrances to it
Nice game! I think the player is a little big compared to the enemies, which I think was the reason why I would get stuck on walls and couldn't move. The player movement also feels heavy. Don't think it fits the theme at all, but it's a good start regardless!
