Cool stuff

It is a good entry. The loss of momentum while in the air makes it very hard to do any platforming. It break the immersion and makes it hard to anticipate the jumps. The game itself has good bones in that there is a good foundation to work with. A little polish and fixes on the movement feel and this would be something special. Keep up the great work.

Great idea with different abilities - reminded me of The Lost Vikings, I wonder if that was your inspiration. Challenging, yet gets easier with more attempts - fitting the theme. One thing I'd wish for is more control for character movement while in the air. Games that lock your character movement in the air remind me of old 8-bit rage days. Overall, it's obvious you put a lot of effort into this, so kudos.

Thanks for the feedback. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

The idea was not inspired by The Lost Vikings. Initially the idea was to change the abilities automatically when you get a gem, but I changed it in the last day of development to give the player the possibility of changing abilities accordingly to what he needs to get over an obstacle.

Regarding the in air control: it was intended to have a bad or maybe better said, reduced air control. This was inspired from old 8-bit and 16-bit games. ๐Ÿ˜

I liked the camera effect although I felt the character moved a little slow. Overall nice game!

The character is indeed slow but only because repainting the Tilemap in Unreal Engine is a real pain in the ***. So I compromised the speed of the Player to make the gaps between the tiles feel just right for each ability. ๐Ÿ˜‹

ah that makes sense. Probably a good choice.
