Top-notch Lavy fun, I've gotta say! I'm not totally familiar with Homestuck but if this is as close to the comic as people say, mebbe I should check it out. The custom pause menu were good additions, I love the Seth's Marker font, the pixel art is great, and the dialogue was lovely. I was a giddy dork when I got as far as I did, though it's a shame it wasn't as long as it could be. Nevertheless I'm sending you the screenshot of a certain scene, which is now my desktop background. You'll know the one. Awesome work as always!

I’m excited for more! This was really cute, and I’m a sucker for the idea of a third option besides meat and candy. (Tbh, fingers crossed that’s where the actual plot of homestuck is headed lmao).  I loved the designs too, especially the car! And I love the concept of it flying backwards.

This game is so cool! It feels very Homestuck, and the combination of the art with the storytelling style is fantastic. It references a more complex world, which is why its short playtime can be a little frustrating. I can tell you put a lot of effort into this, though, so great job! "None Pizza with Left Beef" as the third epilogue option is hilarious.

Also, during the John walkaround, I was able to walk all over the sky. I don't care if this is intentional or not- sky John filled me with so much joy.

Developer

The ability to walk on the sky was nonintentional, I had ran out of time to add collisions at that point.

Later on in the next episode I will give June the formal ability to fly, much like Thoren has already (it's undocumented, but one of the keys I can't remember which is the flying mode button), so don't fret too much if the skies of bliss.jpg cannot be stood upon later.

Reason it was so short was because lack of time to work on it, mainly close deadline coupled with having an essential full-time job. It's probably for the best that I decided to make it episodic incomplete rather than try to smash a rushed product together. Eventually I will make more content for it (outside of the scope of the jam, of course). It'll take time, but that's what it takes for quality.

Thank you for playing my game and leaving a thoughtful comment, it is greatly appreciated.

If you want to know more about Thoren and their past, I have a ton of games and past content elsewhere that I can link to. I usually post my SBARGv2 games on rpgmaker.net. One of them I plan on uploading a patch for tonight due to a streamer finding some bugs last week. In the meantime, the SBARG 1.5: Lost Pawns website has their old diary and I maintain an in-character Twitter account for them that you could look through, if you're interested.

Can you link me to the SBARGv2 games you mentioned?

I’ll probably stream all of these at some point, I was curious about your world!

Developer

Let me know when you get to that! I'd love to watch! (I'll probably be able to show up on mondays and thursdays, since those are my days off)
