Loved the concept of this game, as well as the design and gameplay is enjoyable and very well polished. Excellent work :)
Thank you!
Really cool premise on this one, a secret language that the player can only discover the meaning of by exploring the world and defeating its enemies is a super neat premise that I'd love to see you all go deeper with. I really like the idea of being able to interact with NPCs but not able to understand them until you develop your understanding of their world. I think that could be a brilliant hook for an RPG. Unfortunately I wasn't able to crack any of the secret code in this game and really struggled with trying to understand anything about the symbols. By the time I reached the shop keeper I had 0 idea what to do to interact with him. The player controller is solid and the dodge roll is nice but I found myself skipping combat entirely after the first couple of enemies and just sprint rolling through rooms as quickly as I could. The art is cohesive but doesn't really move me in any particular direction. Overall, I think you have a really cool idea for a game that has a ton of promise if you can figure out the right balance of difficulty for cracking the secret language code. Cool and entry and really unique gameplay idea!!
Thank you! We'll try to work out better hints for the language!
Good video game but the gameplay is too slow.
Thank you! We'll work about the speed feeling of the game later on!
I liked this one! The concept of using language, especially foreign to anyone playing, and solving that to solve problems and unlock the "secrets" was very clever! For an action game, I really, really wanted there to be slightly less end lag on attacks. But all in all, great game, and good job!
Thank you for playing! We're glad you liked It!
I think it's one of the best entries I tried yet. Some things are little clunky and feels unfinished, but it's a game jam and compared to that it's surprisingly very good! The combat is very good for a simple game, really enjoyed it, spent more time with this game then the usual I do with a jam game! This new language idea is great, I think the theme interpretation is really spot on . For the cheat codes I looked up the code in the repository I'll admit, but still a very nice addition :D It really shows that you put a lot of work to this, so I hope you'll finish high on the leaderboard. For me the constructive criticism would be something that already mentioned: the game feels a bit overwhelming, it's quite large and complex, and I think the tutorial at the beginning is easy to skip / miss some parts, so it could be more interactive. But I absolutely know that it's a huge effort and we have a limited time on jams like this, so it really just nitpicking. Very good job overall, and keep doing games cause clearly you have the talent and passion for it!
Thank you so much Ahahah! You made our day!
We'll absolutely check out your game when we can
Wow thank you so much!! Like you said, unfortunately we didn't have enough time to test the game properly so we only realised at release that there were some problems.
I really regret not seeing it at its full potential right now so reading your comment really touched me! Thanks again!!
This feels like a chants of Sennarr premise, but with more adventure action tied in. The action adventure part shows some weaknesses, like hits and being hit feel a little soft, but I think a lot of that could be improved with time. The idea of creating and discovering languages has been done but not tied in with a game that's not specifically about that like you guys have done. Had fun playing this one, until the deaths. Thanks for the Play!
Thank you! Yes, the game combat can be improved and some bugs can be fixed!
This complex idea of a new language as basis for gameplay was done really well! I did get a bit overwhelmed a times though, but that may also be a reflection of me more so than the game. An excellent entry to the jam! :D
Thank you for playing! The first concepts are hard to get for everybody, we could make It easier to understand
