This game is so inspiring! Felt awesome when I fired up the GB emulator.

I might have cheated a bit. I noticed that staying in the top left or top right corner keeps me safe for the most time. :-P

And yeah, level 1 you can cheat mechanics a bit (I should fix that in future), hahahahahaha.

Wow, I was not expecting someone to go this far for a throwback title. It looks good, a bit rough at times on the first level where the enemy difficulty ramps up to the point where you have to spam bullets hoping you hit because they move so fast. But this was a fantastic game, I'm so glad you made it :D

I tried to apply the concept of Kishōtenketsu in level 1's design, used also by Nintendo. But you are right, my plot twist was too much, hahahaha.
