The colors work pretty good here. I enjoyed the movement but about halfway through I kept slowing down and speeding up. This may have just been lag tho (playing on a 5 year old macbook). I realized I had the sound off and thought 'hey maybe I'm just moving with the beat'. I wasn't but the music was still nice.

Agree it's hard to tell if/how the sun is slowing you down. Maybe add like an outline or widget on the player that indicates whether or not you're in the sun?

Overall, nice job!

was your blue bar empty? if so you were out of fuel. you need to stay within the sun's rays to rebuild your fuel.

as for indicator the trails that appear on the wingtips is the indicator that you're in the sun. I need a better way to get both of these across.

Just tried playing on my desktop and didn't run into the speeding up/down issue so I think it was just my computer lagging.

Ah yeah, I saw the blue bar but, I would make it a bit bigger though. It's kind of hard to see while you're moving. Didn't realize the trails were only appearing when I was in the sun. That made a lot of sense though once I realised! Maybe you just have to tutorialize it somewhere or you could try making the transition between the effect turning off and on a bit more pronounced. I like the trail as an indicator though!

Fun game but I couldn't work out how to stay in the sun :(

Developer

yeah I needed to figure out a better way to demonstrate it.
you need to stick near the ground to get the sun to rise then dodge towers to find a few rays. I need to modify it to spread the detectors out to make it easier
