  • Simple but fun concept. I think really the only thing holding this one back is difficulty balancing and a lack of features. Right now by just playing normally my defense was consistently increasing. I ended up getting to wave 25 with around 130 defense so I'm not sure if I ever would have lost if I had kept going. Also the hitboxes on the collectibles were a little strange. I felt like sometimes I was clicking on them but they wouldn't collect until I clicked several times. I think the art is really nice and overall this game is a really nice vibe. It just needs to be expanded on a little bit to be really enjoyable
  • So far best looking art of the jam imo. For the gameplay it felt like I didnt have much agency, the ship would go down on it's own, I could not move it and I didnt see any reason to just pick up everything, at first I though I would escape to use those resources to upgrade, but the escape button is mostly a "give up button". I waited until wave 25 before giving up cause the difficulty never spikes and I couldnt see any strategy or skilled involved, mostly waiting clicking eveyrthing as soon as I can. Really good looking game.

Really nice art, but in my opinion it could be a bit more challenging.

I really enjoyed the game!

The art of the game is very nice.

And I say the same as the other comments. You can expand this game by adding use to collected items. But the game is cool!

Great game, only thing that could be improved is a way to use the resources after escaping. Maybe also adding a visual indication of how much defense each resource gives. Good work overall though!

Nice art and gameplay I hope you could add a way of using the resources after the jam.

Very good art/graphics. I imagine a larger version where you could surface to use resources for repairs and upgrades

The pixel art was amazing, the sound effects and music also fit well. I do wish there was a different sound to differentiate between the enemies hitting your shield and your jelly fish. Really does look the part. Could see this becoming a great little roguelite, upgrading your research vessel to be able to dive deeper with better defences. Overall great job!

Thank you! The feedback is much appreciated and having a way to tell if the enemy hits the jellyfish instead of the shield is going on the list of things to add after the jam is over. I definitely have plans to add some roguelite things later after the jam :D

Title screen art is really cute. Not sure if I'm playing correctly, but I love the ability to escape with whatever resources you've collected so far. Would be cool to see an online leaderboard to see how other players did!

Developer

Thank you! Yes, I hope to be able to add on to it later. To either have a leaderboard or something you can do with the resources you can bring back to maybe help on your next dive :)

It would be good to increase the font of the instructions because it is too small and barely visible. The graphics are great.

Developer

Thank you very much :D I tried to make the font smaller on the instructions so they were out of the way, but I probably made them a bit too small. I will have to change that.
