This is going to be a rewrite from the ground up of my game Quad Pong Xtreme. There were issues with difficulty, styling and the odd bug, plus I've learned so many better habits and skills since writing it that it just needs to be started again.

The game is now fully playable., so watch the preload (or hit space to skip it) and hit play. Controls are WSAD or arrow keys. Have fun!

Man I felt Xtreme in this game alright xD. Very interesting concept you brought to life here. I really enjoyed playing. It's so fast paced and stressful but in a very good way! I like the fact that there are different modes that the player can explore. I loved the audio design and visual effects as well. The difficulty could be better distributed across the increasing score, but I think that just depends on having a sample size of playtesters and taking the average playtime and adjusting the game difficulty depending on what average time/score you're trying to achieve. Overall very fun and intense game!

Thank you so much for trying the game and your kind comments. Difficulty seems to be the one thing everyone mentjons, so I have to fix that.

This is a very creative idea. I like how you expanded on the original game and gave a more modern style to it. I struggled to get very far, then again its that way for me with any fast-paced pong I've played. The animations and music were especially good.

Thank you for trying the game and for your comments. The only real negative comments about it have been regarding the difficulty, so I will be making some adjustments to that. Lots of exciting improvements on the way.

Logins already work, as well as leaderboards. Friend groups, collectibles and powerups are all on the way. If I can get a satisfactory control method for mobile that will be coming soon. So, if you enjoyed it like this, then you'll love what I've got planned!!

It's definitely extreme haha.  As soon the ball started getting faster my brain would blank on the controls (or more likely not realize which paddle I should be moving).  The sound design works really well, the music was upbeat and made you want to keep moving without feeling overpowering, and I like the different modes you could play individually or combine.  I'm bad at pong normally cause I have no coordination but I do think the obstacle mode might have too many obstacles, at least to start.  It was really hard to predict which direction the ball was going to travel after hitting them especially if it starting bouncing around inside the circle.  Other than that I think it'd be cool to have some sort of goal,  like maybe when you reach 100 points the game changes in some way. Maybe the ball only speeds up after reaching goals, or a new obstacle appears etc.  1 really minor thing but I think the text speed for the high score could be faster or punchier, such as 1 whole word appearing at a time + a sound effect.  It just felt a bit slow after frantically sliding around trying to keep up with the ball.  Oh also I really like you had an Title Intro that shows off the how the game works, thats a great touch.

Thanks for trying out the game and for your comments. I have been struggling to get the difficulty curve right. Long term I think I'd like to have it react to the player's skill level, but I like your idea for having the difficulty stepped according to score or something. Might play around with that. I've been adding logins so that people can compete between friends, but gameplay still needs a little work.
