This is a good attempt at your very first game.
I think this game could use some audio, like jumping and collecting.
Also, there seems to be a bug, as collecting torches does not seem to stop the light from extinguishing.
I like the fact that the lighting effect intensity is your HP, making a organic looking "UI".
Anyway, good work.
