Been working on this with my team for a month. Didn't get as far as we wanted, but still felt it be worthwhile to put it out there for people to see.

The art was really nice for everything that wasn't a monster. For what was a monster, the art was... original? At least it was memorable.

Gameplay-wise, it's really interesting, but let down by the level design. Having many spells and a huge mobility (multiple jumps and dashs as far as I've seen) makes a character with a lot of potential, but the screen is just too small so you don't know where you're charging, and that lets the enemies zoom in on you as soon as they get into the screen. Especially when in front of a pit full of enemies, I just kept firing into it until I hoped that everything was dead because I couldn't see them.

In the end, it's quite a good game overall with a lot of potential :)

Agree good on the interesting monster design, probably my favorite part. While i liked the player sprite, would have been nice to have the arm animate separately so it seems like they are casting from it. Also feed back on hit (both for player and enemies) would help immensely. Something like a little knock back and adjusting sprite color (like a quick red tint and back to normal).

This feels like a prototype, but I'm glad you put it out there - you could definitely build on it.  The main character and the feather magic shooty thing look cool.  Also, every single time a monster came on screen I was like "what in the **** is that!"  (but in a good way!)
