In this jam, I wanted to do something with very short cycles of time. I decided to experiment with an extra fast try-fail-repeat cycle (as in Super Meat Boy or Celeste) in a genre that doesn't traditionally use one. Therefore, in this top-down shooter, time rewinds a few seconds upon taking any hit, forcing players to cycle back and keep trying.
Extra Credit Challenges
Some flash & shake upon taking damage. There are also a large number of projectiles moving, and I'd imagine the strict black/white color palette doesn't help. Nothing huge, but I could see it being an issue if you've had problems with high-bullet-count games before.
