Good, I like games like that, but a lot of text without icons or images for me :)
Voice is beautiful and great idea!
Great job on the mood of this game -- writing was amusing and kept me engaged. Nice watercolor painting. I did get softlocked due to finishing all the tasks. Good job on the browser/mail-esque UI!
Edit: Also, first time there's been a voice-over in an ebitengine jam! Nice touch, might have to try that in the next one :)
Nice works on the writing for this game, I enjoyed it!
Nice little game. The voice-over surprised me and is a great touch! Also the log-in screen as the title really helps nail down the atmosphere and immersion.
Great job on the request writing. As the main content of the game they kept me interested and engaged. Very humorous situations and even more humorous resolutions made me curious about what I would see next and what options I'd be presented with.
I enjoyed your game so much! it's fun. Thank you for making me realize that I have a talent for building management. No one complains anymore now XD
Super easy to get into and the themes were fun. I didn’t get to finish my first 2 playthroughs due to the game just kinda stopping. Would love to see this developed further. Tenant portraits could bring a good deal of charm to the game. I’ll definitely come back and try to play through to the end when I have a bit more time.
I guess all the requests are done?
Thanks for letting me know about this, it’s definitely a bug! I suspect in this case that all requests have days left in their cooldown period. This happens in part due to a too-small pool of written requests (ran out of time to write more before the jam ended), but there should be fallback logic to advance days when this happens. More requests will come in eventually (the game can advance days either by attempting to resolve requests or by real world time passing), but this is an unfortunate state for the game to reach.
I ran into the same issue on the 3rd month.
Yep, I think we're being too attentive landlords because I encountered the same soft-lock.
While it probably won't produce requests as good as "talking trees" (lol), this seems like the perfect use-case for an LLM. Generating requests on the fly during gameplay or even just for your request lists in `requests.json`. With a proper prompt and some examples you could generate limitless requests with little effort (although guaranteed lower quality than your hand-crafted ones).
