- This is a genuinely impressive recreation of chess with a brilliant presentation. What concerns me is that it is only chess, there's no framing for it or twist. It doesn't feel that creative or inspiring to an onlooker who doesn't have the ability to make something like this themselves.
- Perfect music choice for this submission. Chess is a thinking game, so having relaxed, contemplative music really immersed me in the experience. I'm really impressive that you essentially rebuilt the entire AI for this. Great work as usual, Goinza.
- Nothing to say, I love it.
- SRPG Chess is... chess. Since we all know what is chess, let's go instead to the technical part of this entry. The most impressive thing for me in this entry is the AI which is surprisingly competent. Also the game presentation does have that feeling of playing Chess but using SRPG Studio assets plus some others that are very familiar with the board game, not to mention the highlighted tiles to check how each piece can move which is a good QoL I welcome in the entry. The only problem I've found is for some reason the game can potentially crash on an enemy turn due to an script error that's extremely difficult to replicate. This entry is mostly a demonstration that Board Games can be replicated via scripting in SRPG Studio, but as far as the contest goes, it doesn't go beyond that.

I agree with the previous comment, I was surprised the AI had some decent opening moves. Kinda goes astray and made weird trades afterwards so it's a bit weak mid-game (and I suppose it wouldn't know endgame tactics).
That being said, I really love the simple design, UI is wonderful with the highlighted squares, it's really good!
This is impressively done! The UI works well, I liked that you could even easily see which squares are forbidden for the (enemy) king. The AI, while far from great, wasn't totally stupid either, which is already quite impressive within the confines of SRPG Studio. Great work.
