I am asking this because in the rules it states you may use any game engine to create your game, But I would like to try making a game inside of scratch to challenge myself, So my question is, is it allowed?

As long as you can convert it to a windows build or a WebGL build, then yeah!

Im gonna pretend I understand that

Jam Host

just convert it into an exe, something that you can run on windows. Not online

wait, if it has to be an exe, does that mean roblox games won't work? 'cause you need to go to the roblox website, make an account and then download the roblox player to use it.

hmmmmmmmmm

Jam Host

Yep

They specified roblox studio as something not allowed

you can't with scratch, not logistically porting the files

i think converters exist, so they can use that.

*2018 tutorial intensifies*

I used to use scratch a long time ago, I think through some shady applications  or Compiling the javascript part of the program yourself would get you an exe file or just post a link to the jam page as once a scratch project is made on the browser, the project link can be sent

using scratch is the opposite of a challenge (no offence)

I guess if youve never used it before. Eh I guess it is still easy to learn. I remember learning it in middle school, I picked it up in like 10 minutes.

The challenge is I have to make something good :D

Just for convenience's sake, there is a way to convert sb3 files to .exe:
