Almost felt like an old Flash game- and I mean that in a good way. The mechanics are quite simple, but they do the job. And it's easy to get distracted by a big pile of 20 zombies and not notice the one that just showed up on the other end of the map!
Good simple design. Not exactly a shotgun mechanic but I'll take it.
