its fun to play but it kind of throws you into the gameplay lol. I found the fishing aspect a bit repetitive and the combat kind of 'bland' and also very annoying after a while when the bats keep jumpscaring you. Also, when i climbed up three times the game froze on a black screen.

anyways, its rlly nice and fum !

  • "throws you into the gameplay" :  Next update will have a initial cutscene, in game tutorial (just a slideshow) and surface level.
  • "fishing aspect a bit repetitive": I get you, will try to make it more pleasing to do.
  • "combat kind of 'bland': Get you again, but I really don't have too much ideas to enhance it.
  • "annoying after a while when the bats keep jumpscaring you": Random encounters are a core mechanic, do you think it's ennoying because it's loud or it's the encounter itself?
  • "I climbed up three times the game froze on a black screen": It happens because it tries to go to the surface, but there is no durface for now, sorry about that.

Thank you for your comment!

The fighting mechanic actually seems a bit low stakes at the moment. I seem to reliably flee from battle every time I've tried it, and I'm not seeing significant drops from the enemies.

I'd also like to see more done with the Fishing Mechanic. Notably I can't inspect my fish or guess it's value until I present it to the shop keeper. Combined with the limited inventory, kinda makes collecting chests the more reliable means of making money.

Thanks for the comment, There is just one drop (the small potion) and one enemy (the bat) for now. Make flee harsher is a good idea, you can look some informations if you hover while pressing control (I'm wiling to make it easier in the future), and the trader have a hidden random value he adds, making it impossible to know the price, but I can add a "it should be selled for [value]" as a base price in the informations panel.

I don't know if there was a bug or something, but your devlogs mention fighting and the current game buikd doesn't have fighting despite that

You was right. I put the newest version now. Thank you for making me aware of this.

Can you really do that, now that the deadline is passed ? If you can, though, I'll definitely play it and rate it again !

I think so, last jam I rate based on the dev logs only, I just played the games to see how it's going
