Escape from an alien spaceship in this pixelated precision platformer!

I implemented the theme "You shouldn't be there" in the game's storyline: You are an astronaut trapped inside an alien spaceship, and your goal is to escape while avoiding traps and hazards.

So many, very addictive and tricky levels. Some parts are maybe a bit too long, so if you fail it may be frustrating to start over, however if you succeed it's incredibly satisfying. Simple yet so nicely done art style. I love the main character animations, so blurpy. It would be much better experience with some music and gathering bonuses sound effects. Also maybe a death counter might be a good idea? Or timer for speedruners? Maybe it's just a browser issue, but sometimes if the trick requires more keys, the input blocks. Anyway, I must admit, really wonderful job! Especially the mechanics!

Those 3 tiny lazer that you must timed perfectly just broke me, I can't get the timing of it.

Great game though, Art is beautiful and the sfx is on point.
5/5/5 I love platformers 😊

Thank you! You're right about the lasers, the last level is waaaaay too difficult. I believe that noone actually managed to finish the game. My friends played the game and got stuck for HOURS, and in the end they all gave up

I am glad that I'm not the only one 😆

Well it was the last level anyways, they should be challenging but not too challenging 😁

I love a game with a good little cinematic intro! Bravo on that! I know how hard those can be to add in! The controls were good and it felt like a solid precision platformer. I will admit I raged quit at the three elevator room with the lasers. I could not time that last jump. The laser death was particularly gruesome! I would love to see something like super meat boy implemented where you can see all the charred remains of where you failed on the previous run, I think that would be fun.

Thank you! I think that i accidentally made a rage game, because some levels are really difficult. The comparison with Super Meat Boys seems pretty right, and maybe i should lean into that direction... i dunno. Anyway, thanks a lot for the feedback!

The zoom dash was a lot of fun, even if the jumping challenges felt a bit too unforgiving at times. Perhaps checkpoint right before particularly hard jumps would have been an improvement? Very cute overall.

The pixel art and animation is charming, even if the zoomed shot of the spaceship is a bit phallic.

The horizontal spacing in this game is wonderful and feels fun and bouncy.

The vertical spacing on the other hand. Well I'm happy there isn't a death count. ;'^)

I keep bonking on thread the needle lasers, and it took me forever to figure using the dash to cancel my Y velocity, even still, the jump feels right, but fall down farther into a pit with even faster acceleration feels really hard to pinpoint correctly. The difficulty curve feels ok for everything except the super tiny lazer walls.

Thank you for the feedback! I had to rush the development of the last levels, so they are the ones that i tested the least. Your insight on the "vertical spacing" is very useful, and i agree with you. I will try to improve the game after the jam. Again, thank you for playing and dedicating your time!
