This definitely needs polishing. The description box clipped out the screen for me so I could only read half of what was said. The descriptions weren't always assigned to the correct objects. There are inconsistencies here and there and I get random sounds sometimes. I like the concept and I think it could be great on its own if it were more clear and without the theme of lying. It's not too clear if you're supposed to understand by yourself what happened or if you should bring stuff somewhere... There are some features missing too, as said by another comment like a notepad and time speed up. I also got stuck on the pause menu when I pressed escape with only 2 minutes left.
But keep at it! It's by making more games that you get better and this definitely could have potential if things were made more clear and the game was generally polished.
If you haven't rated my game, could you?https://itch.io/jam/cgj/rate/475851

Thanks for playing my game and share your thoughts and feedback! Really appreciated. As a guy quite new to gamedev feedback is nescessary to evolve as one. I don't get how that clipping with the text box happened. Have you got some kind of weird screen possibly? A friend of mine played the game on his computer and that worked fine and as the other person who wrote feedback about this game didn't say anything about this, and it never happened to me, so I would relly want to know what caused it. The descriptions should be assigned to the right opbjects, but all objects do not have a unique description because of to little time. There is however a bug that makes the text weird if you do not move after each press on objects. The only audio file in the game is a recording of rain that I recorded.  That recording might have some wind that makes the sound weird or it is just the transition when the sound start over again. As I said a notepad and speed up will be added if I make a after jam version. And I know the game is a bit unclear, but I did not have time for a tutorial or anything. That little text with thje loading screen I added the last 45 mins. Nad thank you for the feedback again, and I will play your game and rate. :D

Hey, it's cool that your interested in learning! What most likely happened with your UI elements is that I have a 5:4 screen (i know, i know, heathens), and you probably didnt set it up for proper scaling. It makes sense for your first few games to make that mistake though. One example of wrongly assigned text is on the laptop, which is text describing the laptop desk.

Thank you so much for replying. Will look into scaling with screen size and hopefully I can fix it for my next game. And the laptop were apparently one of a few things I totally missed looking into, will fix for after jam version. Thanks again

No problem, keep on making!

It's a nice little mystery game, though it would be nice to have an in-game notepad and a way to speed up time.

Thank you for playing my game and leaving feedback! Really appreciate that. I totally agree on both points, might make an after jam version with it in.
