What can players learn when playing your game?
While playing "Chemical Desaster" you learn basic chemistry and maths. To protect your home, you have to neutralize fluids and need to understand ph levels of acids and alkalines.

really nice game, but the randomness of it makes it mostly too unfair. I rarely got an item that could be useful for any of the puddles on the map before there were too many puddles and I died. A few small changes could make this into a great game.

That's a very interesting way to present the topic.

I didn't entirely understand how the combined pH was computed, maybe i was thrown off by trying to include puddle sizes into my thinking.

Edit: maybe pH change could be displayed like damage numbers? a little unconventional because it could be negative, but i think it might help make things clearer.

It is just the average of the two numbers :) We didn't consider the size of the puddles to make it easier.
