The music in this game is cute. It's simple yet fun and deserves at least 6 stars. It has a nostalgic feel to it, which many have neglected for quite some time. The difficulty of the game reminds me of older generation games, as your timing must be correct to be able to progress. A very satisfying and rewarding experience.
this projects has a lot to it, multiple levels, different art styles, music, level design. that's impressive. my feedback is:
-the collisions are kinda unfair (player's hitbox is to big), and saws one shots you.
-the difficulty is inconsistent, the level 1 is harder that the level 2, which was already hard. i'd suggest making the first levels easier.
-i think it lacks a bit of juice (particles effects, player becomes red when he hits something...)
but yea overall great project, gg
It's pretty amazing and I love the concept, style and art. Very good for the amount of time it was made. It's not an easy game and there is nothing wrong with that. I noticed, the comments are saying how hard and frustrating it is just because they couldn't get past the first level. Games that are challenging are always more fun than games that are too easy and you need to get invested and put in effort to play this wonderful game.
bad idea for a game, balancing is totally needed, because most things you touch kill you in one hit, so it makes the game frustrating.
I like the idea, but the gameplay was a little frustrating at times. Being able to die in 1 hit but there also being some inertia behind the movement made sliding into traps a bit too common, as well as the several dead-ends. Personally I wasn't able to get to level 2 once I died just before I brought back the 3 pieces.
Pretty cool, I think an improvement could be made by adding some visual feedback. Maybe when the player gets hit by an arrow he should flash red or something?
