Really neat story! I included it in my Buddy Up Jam: Winter 2022 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :)

Very cool entry! I love the variety of weapons, although I felt like the laser is a little too overpowered because I ended up using it for most of the game. The enemies getting bigger when taking damage is a cool mechanic because it makes them harder to avoid and feels satisfying. I also like how the levels are fully destructible.

The boss fight at the end was very cool, but at first I thought I wasn't doing any damage because it wasn't getting any bigger or giving any other visual feedback, until I noticed the health bar in the corner.

The music and graphics are nicely done and fit the tone of the game very well, I especially thought the pixel art on the final boss was really good.

Two (possible) bugs I found: At one point I reached 0% health but was still alive until I took another hit, and also it seemed like the game crashed after the final boss.

Overall a solid entry!

Great game, enjoyed the art, the visuals, honestly good game and would recommend. 10/10!

Everything in this game is really great!! The art, gameplay, music.

I like the music that you guys did. It really gives off the vibe of an old pixel game set in a sci fi world with aliens, like a retro/vaporwave kind of thing.

AND THE BOSS MUSIC AS WELL SHEESH.

I panicked a little in the boss and pressed Esc to pause but it crashed the game instead. Overall very nice :)

Thanks for playing and glad you enjoyed it!

and sorry about that crash, to bad it had to ruin the best part

Nice game. What game engine did you use?
Reminded me a lot of Nuclear Throne.

That last boss was so cool.

I think adding some feedback(sound or visual) when the player gets hit would be good.

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

Nuclear Throne was our inspiration for quite a bit of the game lol.  all programmed in gms2

i agree with the sounds though, didnt spend a lot of time thinking about them until the end

glad you liked the boss, and thanks for playing!

The music was good too!

Really, really enjoyed this. I loved your intepretation of the theme. I also loved the worldbuilding. Well done! This feels like a mobile game I would have spent hours on if I was younger.

glad you enjoyed our game!  and thanks for the compliments on the worldbuilding and interpretation!

now if i could convince the rest of the team to help make this into a mobile game as well . . .
