How does you game fit the theme?
My game is about an explorer who turns some things which are not real actually real to calm the gods. They are not real at the beginning, but at the end they might be real.

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
All the code is made from scratch and all the assets except 2 textures too, and this is what took me most of the time I think.

A really cool game. The music is nice and relaxing.  It took me a while to understand what to do though XD because when you choose something the other 2 is the one that became real instead (which is my fault because I didn't read the instructions and just winging it) and I didn't realize god's request is what you need to turn real. There are a lot of mechanics in this game but I think the possibility hasn't been explored entirely. I still don't find any use for the jumping mechanics (maybe it's for the trap? but the trap itself is quite easy to avoid normally). The Blindness and No torch don't affect me that much (maybe because my screen brightness was quite high xD). Swiftness feels like a buff (which I don't know if it's intentional). The Compass feels kind of useless because it only points to the general direction of the exit and not the door that will lead to the exit, so many times I ends up running around anyway looking for the door that will lead to it (and sometimes I have to go all the way around) . The only thing that is killing me is pretty much the trap that spawns right on the front of a door and if no trap was spawned it feels quite underwhelming. The Exit indicator feels a little bit misleading because I'm preparing for some kind of monster to show up on the red dot indicator :).I'm quite interested in the map itself, was it randomly generated? I Managed To Finish the game in less than 40 sec because there are 2 (or 3 I kind of forget :D) Monolith around the spawn and the exit is also nearby. I Find a bug in the game where the exit and the monolith were put in the same room and the exit indicator doesn't show up because it was blocked by the monolith indicator. Anyway, it's a really good game and I enjoy it very much.

Well ... You listed absolutely every bug or issue that was remaining at the end of the jam and for those i didn't have the time to do anything xD

You're absolutely right for everything, you did analyze my game very well, respect for that !

The thing is that the map is indeed randomly generated, so there are obviously some patterns that are more at your advantage than others (but actually they are pretty rare ;) ), and i really tried to balance the difficulty of the game by making monoliths not spawning too close to the start (well i made it maybe too easy ) or by trying to find a balance between buffs and debuffs, but i ran out of time ! By the way i really thought i managed to fix the "exit on a monolith" bug, but i didn't do very well on that actually xD

Finally i think this project was a bit oversized, or i needed a partner because there was too many work to fully explore this concept. At the beginning i wanted to add some monsters that would spawn randomly in the maze then follow you or attack you when you enter some rooms, but i didn't have the time to do that, my bad ! It was my first time trying that type of game, i didn't want to do something usual like a plateformer or a game where you fight ghosts, so i tried and i'm quite happy with the result, even with the bugs.

I'm really glad you comment my game honestly, it will help me so much improving for next jams !

Thank you so much ! :D

It was quite interesting game!  It was pretty hard to play without the lights, but I managed to somehow xD It was quite fun!

I took some time for your game. It's so cool. I don't know how you managed to get your own model, custom animations (for when you talk with the stone) and the fitting music in just 7 days! I really liked your idea of turning fake stuff into real, while also choosing a buff with two side-effects, made your game really enjoyable :D I probably spent way more time in this game than I should have, but it was worth itit. Good job :)

Developer(+1)

It makes me so happy you enjoyed it, thank you for that kind words ! I think you're probably the only one who noticed the talking animation by the way x)

But as i said in my game description i spent maybe too much time on graphics, whereas i should have more focused on the gamplay ...

Anyway your feedback motivates me a lot to improve, you're awesome :D

Of course! I generally was amazed by the graphics :D Did you do it yourself? Maybe we could collaborate on a Game Jam together in the future, as I'm more of a programming guy myself x3

Developer

I did all the graphics by myself yes ! But i won't lie i'm more of a programming guy too xD

It would be so cool to collaborate, why not !  Let me keep you in touch ;)
