How does you game fit the theme?
You play through a series of scenarios taking place in a lucid dream... When your blink meter runs out you blink to another random place in the dreamscape... Obviously, dreams aren't real... right?

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
Me and my friends made most of the assets, some code came from outside sources such as google and tutorials however, But I did my fair share of coding :)

Hey

Great game. I had so much fun swinging around like Spiderman / Attack On Titan. It was a lot of fun. I really enjoyed it. Got stuck on the (third I think?) island tree swinging one. I think you had to go to the long way, but not 100% sure.
Overall great game and I'd love to see where you take.

Please can you vote my game on the last day before the jam ends? Thank you :D

I like the general idea, you can never really go wrong with grappling hooks. What I was really unsure about it the goal of the game. I thought I must get to the end of the panels and the bar on the bottom of the screen is my HP somehow, but then I got loaded into another level. In Teletubby land, I couldn't even find where I should go.

I think with some improvements (pause menu, UI, conveying information to the player) this could make a very interesting game. Do you plan on working on it after the jam?

That HP bar so to speak is more like a timer telling you how long you have to complete level before you were blinked to a new one, I do plan on working on this afterwards as well

Grappling hooks are always a fun mechanic. The movement feels smooth, and the world really does feel like a lucid dream. Music complements well, and the visuals makes it feel like an old school console or arcade game. There are a few issues here and there, including weird physics, loose theme connection, and no pause menu, but the game feels overall great!

Developer

Thanks for the reply! The idea of a lucid dream is what makes it “not real” but I see what you mean, I plan to have a pause menu and more updates in the future when the jam finishes :)

I want to play this in VR and die from motion sickness!

Honestly. Add a grappling hook or something similar to a game and you got my attention haha.

I liked the style and had fun just flying across the scene!

Hope you keep working on this or something similar in the future!

Developer

I may or may not have some VR plans in mind ;)

Also I loved ur game!

I had a great time, the grapple gun is very well made and the momentum feels quite smooth, the second level was a little dark but besides that I think you've got something good on your hands!

Developer

Thank you so much! I appreciate that!

I think your game has a very nice and interesting concept! Although I would love if you could maybe put in a volume slider bc the music is very loud! I think this game has potential so keep on working on it ;)
