The graphics is well done and the idea is fantastic! If you'd add some more gameplay into it this would be perfect!

Make sure to check out my jam submission :)    https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-6/rate/1177820

Very fun game concept, but you need to explain concept more and add more catastrophes. After surviving tornado I didn't really know what to do and just was running around. Game has a lot of potential for further development. Good job, keep it up! :)

Developer (1 edit)

Thanks!

I did want to add more catastrophes but didn't have time.

The game will be further developed after my exams.

Pretty good! Had some fun with it!

Comment :)

Developer(+1)

I ment some feedback in comment 😅

Digging into the ground felt really good and performed really well. Unfortunately when restarting the game after dying, all terrain that was dug for me became gaps in the ground which one could fall through and die. Seemed an interesting enough concept though!

Developer

thanks,

The terrain issues dint occur in the game editor and only in build so I have no way to fix it till now but I have reported the issue to unity so it shall be fixed soon!

The graphics are so impressive! The game was fun, the only problem was the colliders of some of the rocks, other than that it's a very great job for one weak :D

Developer(+1)

Thanks,

The rock problem is now fixed but the new build will be available after the voting period

HI, I have played your game and I appreciate that you completed a terrain and an fps controller in just 7 days but unfortunately, my pc could only run your game on 25 to 30 fps, so it was hard for me to complete your game and that's why I can't give a full review but I have rated your game based on my observation. congrats for getting more than 20 ratings

Developer (1 edit)

thanks!

It's wierd how you got only 25-30 fps I have a few questions if you have time please answer them

1.What are your computer spec's (I don't have a dedicated graphics card but still I got 45+fps, I also have only 8gb ram, with Intel i5 processor)

2.what Was battery if the battery was less it does actually reduce performance

Also note in the first digging test I only got 5 fps 😅 with a just a plain terrain, and no doubt unity crashed every few minutes

Submitted

actually i have a i5 ten gen computer and I was running my pc on battery

Developer

That's not the best thing for performance I would 30fps on that is nice considering the amount of trees, digging feature and the post processing

thanks!

There is text at bottom telling what is happening like asteriod falling...

The goal is written in the first line of description of the game i.e. find a boat

let me know if you have some more feedback.

Although I couldn't complete it, I did phase through the boundary rocks and reach the end of the terrain. The tornado is quite cute to look at from afar though.

Another problem beside the rock colliders is that when you restart after dying, the places that had been dug out previously have no material on them and you can fall directly through them to you death

Overall, a very interesting idea and some more polish on the art part of the game would make it amazing!

Developer (1 edit)

Thanks,

I have fixed the rock issue but came to the issue from another comment

I didn't know The hole issue it actually worked fine in editor if you scroll down the comment section I have given the form link where I reported this bug

Developer

also can you let me know what you didn't like about the art as I have only got very positive feedback on it till now

Submitted

Nothing, just try to have more varying textures since, from experience, solid textures on a big terrain aren't the most beautiful things to look at. But, that's just another thing that can be polished when there are no time constraints.

Great game, though!

Developer

thanks,

In the full version I will try to add a variety of textures.

Submitted

Sure, just take your time and have fun doing it!

Pretty impressive for one week! nice job!

Developer

Thanks,

2days for me not a week

Submitted

great concept and good use of the assets would recommend enhancing and extending it into a full game

Developer (1 edit)

thanks,I will surely make it into a full game.

If you are interested in the game updates you can follow me!

Hahaha not sure what I am suppose to do in the game haha
But i did enough digging an underground house hahaha.

Developer

Well, you have to find the boat and go near it.

The twist makes it tough though

Wow, 3D shooting. I loved the environment. As everyone is saying about the rock thing, I felt it too.  Rated.

I'd love you to play mine and rate too. Its a blend of unique platformer and top down genre. I bet you'll love the challenge.

Very creative idea and the art is pretty cool, my only criticism is the thing about some rocks not having colliders but overall very fun experience :D

Developer

Thanks!

I will make sure to add colliders to them

Submitted

Hey your game has got some pretty good visuals along with chaos theme, though I would like to point out that I was able to walk through some of the rocks!

Still great game!

Developer(+1)

Thanks

I played your game and here are some feedbacks:

-Some of rocks do not have colliders so I could go through them.

-The weapon could have had some animation when the player moves. You can use procedural animation with sine function to do just that.

Overall the game was very fun to play. I am eager to play any future games you make.

Would appreciate if you give mine a try:

Thanks!

I was making the animations but could not make any good one. Decided do no animations instead of bad ones.(Lol i did'nt know what procedual animation is i will have to mess around with it to get it working)

You can follow me to play any of the future versions I to will play your game just give me sometime.
