In what way does your game fit the theme?
It's a game about Chaos in the mathematical sense, utilising the double pendulum, which is a prime example of Chaos.

Did you write all the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
I followed some tutorials for some parts of the code, but I did write it. The assets were all mine.

Interesting idea. It's pretty short, and music would definitely help, but for the time you play, it's definitely interesting to look at the pendulums and try to predict their behavior. As someone who has never thought about this before, it's very fascinating.

Game mechanics, graphics and sound are very minimal, but it fits the theme and is definitely worth a try.

Thanks for the feedback. I don't know if an update will be coming, as I'm currently busy with other stuff (it was kind of miraculous that I had time to do this :D) but I am hoping that there will be one!

nice game and thank you for placing check point :D

Really innovative way to use this theme also great controls with good levels. I really like it!

Great. You used the chaos theory. I really liked it.

Very good. I felt like one of the jumps on the first level was impossible. I never got past it. However, you give a clear idea of what the game is, and I have to say good job.

Developer

I'll come clean, even though the double pendulum motion is not random, as I say in the game, the initial conditions for most pendula are randomised. That can make some jumps quite challenging and possibly downright impossible. I didn't want to go into too much detail about that, as I felt reiterating the "random vs. chaotic" element too much would get annoying to the player so I didn't mention the randomisation of initial conditions. Not because I was trying to hide it or anything. 😂

All that said, if you replay the game it may be so that the jump that was difficult will be more doable next time. 🙂

Thanks a bunch for taking the time and effort to play and even comment, much appreciated!

Ah, makes sense. I had one sitting still in the spot where I needed to be in order to jump to the next platform. Loved the game though.

Developer

Oh I see what the problem was, yeah, I guess that's an issue! I hand-picked initial conditions for some of them (e.g. the screen where I show that two pendula with the exact same IC will behave exactly the same), but for most of them I went with random starting angles, so just sitting vertically is also a possibility, haha!

Very nice. I wanted to create something similar myself but didn't settle on the idea. I must say that this version is very addictive.

Great game I finished it two times. Also, the game was a very creative take on the theme.
