In what way does your game fit the theme?
My game is about rewinding towers you build and upgrade to defend yourself against endless enemies!

Did you write most of the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
This is my first jam and it was pretty enojoyable to push yourself and do a game all by yourself and whithin a short amount of time!

You´ve made a cool game. The idea to wind up the turrets is really unique and innovative. At first it was hard to understand how to start a wave since you did not add this to your description. After trying some buttons on my keyboard I found the right key and it worked. The graphics fit very well and I love the animations of your character. Next time I would try to stay at a constant pixel size since that normally looks better. Overall it´s a nice game. Good Job! You would deserve more ratings.

I´ve submitted a local multiplayer game: https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-4/rate/722755. I would be happy to get your feedback on it. :-D

Fun game! The art is really impressive, I especially liked the lake animation a lot. A few suggestions on the game:

  • As the other commenter already said, put controls description into the game, in the main menu or even just on the normal play screen somewhere. I’ve found them in the game description and managed to play fully but having them in-game would be more convenient
  • Put the player in a more visible place at start. For me he was lower than the bottom of the screen (near the bottom-right corner), and I had to press walk buttons randomly to find him (see the attached screenshot)
  • Maybe allow the player to purchase in the middle of the wave & give money for each individual enemy killed? That’ll give the player a more fine-grained control and might help survive in difficult situations
  • There’s a bug with towers rewinding: if I start rewinding a tower and move to a second one while keeping [F] pressed, the second tower start rewinding but the first keeps rewinding as well. Interestingly, didn’t work the other way round (if I start at the second tower and move to the first, the second stopped rewinding)

Nonetheless, I like the game a lot, great job!

(btw try & rate my game if you like shooters)!

This was painful. I see how much work went into this, and it's really unfortunate that you didn't have more time to finish things up. I'm just going to point out a few things that would have greatly improved my experience without much effort.

First up, tell people how to play the game haha. It took me a few minutes of pressing every button on my keyboard to figure out how to build turrets and start waves, and after 5-10 minutes of playing, that's all I managed to figure out.

I'm assuming there's a way to get turret ammo back, but I have no idea how to do that aside from selling and re-purchasing the turret. This made the game way too difficult. I'm assuming there's a mechanic I'm missing, but that was my experience.

Making a tower defense game in a week is really impressive, and with some more time, I'm sure you could make this really fun to play. Good luck in the future.
