In what way does your game fit the theme?
Rewind is used in our game as sort of a time travel between two player's timelines. This is core mechanic in the game.

Did you write most of the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
Code was mostly made by us, except from 2 scripts which were inspired by Brackeys tutorials. Pixel Art and Graphics on the other hand were made by ourselves from scratch.

The art & control are awesome. Got stuck on the 1st level, though - figured I should move the cart to the left to jump on the platforms, but there was nothing on these platforms. Maybe make the goal of the level a bit more explicit/clear? Also the game does nothing after death, the player just lies on the floor. Nonetheless, looks very promising, great job!

Thanks for your feedback. I am glad, that you pointed out what was missing for you. You probably missed the the part which explains, that you need to press "k" key to rewind to the other world in which you could find the lever, that clears the way to doors. After death, you can always restart the game by pressing "Restart" button in the left top corner. Anyway, thanks a lot for your comment. In next projects I will try to make the goal clearer!

Ah, I see! Ii just says that [K] does “rewind”, though, and I thought it was just time rewind as in most games in this jam. Tried it now - it is much better than I thought, a very nice mechanic indeed! Concerning the buttons: I found them, but they lack any text. I’m playing on Linux via the Wine emulator, though, so it might be Wine’s problem.

To everyone who wonders why the doors on second level won't activate. This happens because i forgot to add the ending screen and I apologize for it. The game consists of two levels, the tutorial and the second level.

Developer

The thing is that the second level is the end and I forgot to add end scene xD

That's all?! That's tooooo short, but okey, it's a jam; if you release one for a final version I will download it

Developer

I am not sure if me and my team will be releasing more of this, but I can guarantee that future projects will be there!

This is great! I really like your graphics and twist on the theme! I'm surprised there aren't more games with this mechanic in the jam. You did a great job!
