looks promising, unfortunately it did not start.
I got an error while loading: pack file could not be found. (using firefox)
I think you could pace and design the game way tigher. Good example is the first room, there are a bunch of upgrades. But, i have not seen anything of the game yet, so they seem really odd to me. But then, to open the door you have to press the button and that button took forever to open the door. I guess this might be important later if the monster is chasing you, but if the ifrst thing I do in a game is pressing a button and wait 5 seconds before something happens,... I might as well play something else. There are over 2000 submissions in this Jam and pressing a button and waiting is not gonna make me want to stay for your game.
I luckily played a bit further and I liked the atmosphere. I think the monster is actually scary, which is good. But then again, once I made it past that monster, I could run through endless corridors, collecting cakes and there was no need to actually engage with the monster on the optional paths and sometimes, there were very long passages that were straight without anything interesting.
So I think it would have been good to cut out a lot of that stuff and focus more on the interaction between the player and the scary thing.
I liked the atmosphere, it was very well done
I loved the atmosphere of the game and the monster was genuinely scary. What was even more scary was the ft could see me through walls but had no pathfinding so could never get me 🤣. The movement and interactions felt polished but I couldn't figure out how to escape the monster. also it says WSAD instead of WASD xD
OH NO! Somehow none of the team or testers noticed you could flip your camera like that. 😅 That so funny. Thank you for playing and hope the bugs never got in the way.
The skull got me every time 😬
Couldn’t look around with mouse unless I pressed held right-click, which unfortunately also zoomed.
Hey! I'm deeply sorry, I cant seem to reproduce the the movement bug. What browser / OS are you using? Were you in fullscreen? Ill try to fix it!
Firefox browser.
When i try to look around, its just spinning the camera really fast. Also when trying to sneak and move forward, it closes the browser window :D (CTRL + W is the shortcut to close the current tab)
COMPLETELY FORGOT ABOUT THAT SHORTCUT I AM SO SORRY 😠We wanted to add a sensitivity slider but ran out of time. Will update after the jam is over. Thank you so much for trying regardless.
*Edit found out there is a bugfix window in the jam, will fix and comment when its fixed in a few hours.
I would love to play and rate the game properly and provide some feedback but I cant play the game because when I try to look around to room I can since the mouse only goes so far then stops at the edge of the screen, so I cant face the door. Look for a setting to lock the mouse to the centre or something. You can still update your game to fix gamebreaking bugs. While you do that, might as well check out my game and rate it yk 😘
Thank you so much for the feedback: and you have been heard! You can now change the sensitivity by pressing Tab, `, or ESC. We also made it capture the mouse in browser whenever you press WASD. Also I played your game as well and loved the voice acting so much! It was really silly in the best way.
