Hi Baselgomo! My apologies if I'm being too critical, but I'm going to be completely honest with you, but if this is your first game jam, please consider watching a tutorial or Godot documentation, because as I downloaded this game on my Android phone and uninstalling it, I can definitely see some more improvement. 1. The biscuits don't disappear immediately right after you touch them. 2. The spikes are misplaced. 3. The stages are almost exactly the same. 4. The wall-jumping is a bit on the clunky side., and 5. The level design doesn't really mesh well with the overall controls. If this is your first or second time taking a crack in Godot 4, then please consider watching Brackeys', Coco Code, Mostly Mad Productions, Heartbeast, etc. Trust me, you're going to learn a lot more just like I did when I was making my entry, Owlet and the Biscuit Tower.
Speaking of which, you should check out Owlet and the Biscuit Tower. It's a Nintendo Hard-esque 2D platformer where you must scale to the top of The Biscuit Tower in order to retrieve The Legendary Biscuit while dodging spikes. You can pass-through the spikes by walking by them and not jumping on them, as the latter will instantly kill Owlet and the player will be brought right back at the very beginning of the tower.
It's designed to be super challenging but fair, and people say it's pretty hard, but they loved the tight and responsive controls and the music (courtesy of Azakaela's Froggi's Adventure Music asset pack, to which I took one of the tracks, "Gamer Time", and placed it in my project.) the game offers.
You should consider checking out Owlet and the Biscuit Tower, and I think it'll be worth your time. Hope all of my advice helped, and good luck on your game development journey! I hope you get more views in the future!
Also, you should also consider recommending my game and your game to everyone saying that you'll improve over time, and have fun continuing to make games!!! ❤🍪🦊
Thanks for opinion:) (I make it with mobile)
Good job making this game. I was surprised the game had a wall jump and a sprint button and I found the music quite fun and fitting.
