How does the game fit the theme?
The core loop is built around risk. Biscuits are your currency and they drop in barrels away from your nexus. You must risk leaving the safety of the nexus in order to collect more biscuits. If you don't collect enough you risk being outscaled.

What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
Music was made by Rusted Music Studio on Itch
Character art was made by Sscary on Itch
Enemy art was made by various artists on Itch
Main menu is an edited godot asset.

This was a lot of fun. There's a surprising amount of stats implemented for such a short jam. I didn't get very far (555 biscuits), but I'll be back to play more. This is a hidden gem of the jam.

Thank you very much for the feedback :)!

I liked the graphics and the gameplay strategy you implemented, which involves leaving your nexus to explore the surroundings but constantly having to return. This fits the theme perfectly. :)

If I may offer an opinion, it would be cool if we could control the boomerangs. From what I understand, they're thrown automatically when approaching waves, right? But anyway, it's great for a jam already, just a suggestion.

Great game, congratulations.

Yes, the game is based on brotato and vampire survivors, they do auto attacks. In the shop between waves you can get additional weapons, most are traditional projectiles, some are explosives. You can then upgrade those weapons with other bonuses from the shop. If you don't see any weapons on the first shop open, click reroll until you see things like the "paper plane" or "pencil darts". There are about 12  weapons in the game. Either way, thank you for your feedback, I appreciate it!

I appreciate the feedback, I'd love to update it for you but I don't think it qualifies as a bug right?
