I like the innovative take of chess being a playing cards, I hope you can improve the UX of the game because it's where  i struggle the most, otherwise great game! Keep up the good work!

A cool game with fun idea and I love chess, so this is good in my book.
But moving the pieces was sometimes frustrating and a lo-fi background music or any focus-based music would a really helped

This could be a really fun mobile game and also add more modes like time trial, rank system, etc.

congratulation for deciding to make this game more after game jam

A very innovative idea to make a chess deck builder haha. It was a little hard to understand and get used to what I should do during which times, but once I figured out the rules it was really fun to play. With a little more game juice and player feedback, anyone could sink hours into an idea like this

Developer

thanks for trying it out! We are planning on making this a fully fledged out game with even more deck building possibilities and more types of boards

As a chess fan I was excited to play this when I saw it before ratings began.  Unfortunately I did pretty often encounter a problem where I couldn't move any piece no matter where I tried. I don't know if this is somehow my fault or not but I couldn't even finish the second level because of this. Despite that I did have fun and would be willing to come back to it if I could get past the problems moving.

Edit: I did come back and finish the game but I still met the problem mentioned above once or twice.

Thanks for playing and we've also encountered the same problem while playing the game ourselves and we already have some fixes in mind thanks for the feedback

I like this game, feels like playing Bughouse chess. I think, you can experiment with field, for example, add traps, obstacles or teleports.

Developer

Yup!! we are planning on adding a lot more in terms of level design with new tiles and environments. Thanks for playing!!

OMG, this game is just beautiful, the gameplay and design are top-notch, but it lacks music and could use better controls, as the pawns can be difficult to manage at times. Additionally, it would be helpful to have the ability to see your opponent's moves when you press a button, so you can identify which pieces are vulnerable, as not everyone is skilled in chess. Overall, this game is a gem, and I hope you continue to develop it. Good luck!
