How does the game fit the theme?
When exploring a region of uncharted outer space, it seems that space itself turns against you. You gain confidence as you upgrade your weapons and travel deeper into the asteroid field, but the unpredictability of space means that anything could happen. What could go wrong?

What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
All pixel art, code, and music/sfx were made from scratch during the jam. Sound effects were generated on Chiptone by SFB Games.

Genuinely got sucked into this game for a bit, really enjoyable! Classic arcade fun and the visuals and audio suit it perfectly. Had a bit of a hard time understanding the upgrades but I got the hang of it. Great job!

A good old arcade game. Congrats.

It’s a fun game. I feel challenged and enjoy it, with both the music and visuals keeping me engaged until the end without feeling bored. However, I had an issue with upgrading—I didn’t know how to do it, whether by pressing E or clicking, which made me pause the game and look up how to upgrade.

I simply love it. Great retro atmosphere. amazing music and sense of mystery/curiosity, what will the anomaly bring this time? The only difficulty I have with collecting upgrades, it's not very clear to me but I think I'll figure it out because I'm willing to play some more.

Thank you for the feedback! Upgrade collection is accomplished by using the hotkeys 1, 2, or 3, depending on which slot you want to put it in. I'll be sure to update the game page  with control information. Thanks for playing!

Yeah, it was a bit difficult for me to go from arrow keys to numbers while shooting with lmb (third hand needed), in limited amount of time ;).

Gotcha! That never occurred to me, you can also use WASD to move instead of arrow keys, where the number keys are closer. I'll look into better key options for the future though!
