How does the game fit the theme?
In the mini-games/tasks you cannot make mistakes or you get penalized very heavily, so nothing can go wrong in those. Also, in the lore/files and in the end of game sequence especially, there is talk of how nothing can go wrong or things will go poorly for people.

Besides the direct references to the theme, "Murph's" comes from Murphy's law and the atmosphere of the game is intense and haunting especially as things go wrong.

What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
The cursor, font, and audio assets I didn't create. The CRT shader as well if that counts as an asset. All of these are credited in the in game credits (type "extras" into the console).

This is an awesomely polished game for a jam entry! Fantastic work, I really liked the sense of dread as my stats went down. Really slick and tied together well! The lore is buried quite deep, but what I saw was cool.

Wow what a stylish game! I love the ambient audio and how the energetic minigame music juxtaposes it. I love the way the game changes how it looks as your meters drop and I love the magnifying effect in the refine minigames. Gameplay-wise Murph's is pretty unremarkable and I don't have much to say about it. I will mention however that I didn't encounter a single bug in my time playing. I tried for a while to uncover some of the secret story stuff but I didn't get very far at all and walked away from the game knowing next to nothing about the lore which is a shame because if the lore is half as good as the game's style and theming, I'm sure I would've loved it. All that being said, I would highly recommend trying this game out.
