How does your game fit the theme?
It is a dungeon crawler based on picking a door to go through - you don't know what is behind the door (random each time), but you must go through the door to find out and go deeper into the Forgotten Depths...

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
I created all pixel art and art used aside from those listed in the description of my Itch.IO page - the Hero Knight (https://assetstore.unity.com/packages/2d/characters/hero-knight-pixel-art-165188) and Pixel Cursors (https://assetstore.unity.com/packages/2d/gui/icons/pixel-cursors-109256).

Nicely polished game. I really enjoyed my time playing it. You are provided with simple choices and yet you never know what awaits you behind the door, so you are in constant thrill of the uknown.

Thanks! appreciate the feedback, tried to keep it a bit simple so its easy to learn rather than over complicate it. Good luck in the game jam and thanks for playing!

cool game :D

really addictive. on my first run i died at like depth 22, then on my second run i saved AP to focus on training attack until i could one-shot enemies, then the income of potions outpaced the 1 turn of damage i would get from a battle, so i just got stronger and stronger. got pretty hooked on it ngl

Developer

Thanks! glad to hear it was fun, i need to work on some balancing cos its pretty quick to get strong and 1 shot everything. thanks for playing!

Nice simple game! With some audio and some more variety in content I could see this shaping up nicely. Cool art style as well.

Developer(+1)

Thanks! Yeah I mostly focused on building a framework to expand upon for the week so that could be done, and thanks for the compliment on the art style!

It's a good game that i can spend load of time playing it, fit the theme really well, the style of the old standard rpg style is awesome, which fit the art style tbh, but the UI is a big part of the game, a clear and interactive UI would be better, also having sfx and bgm would be nicer. Overall great game  for a week man!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! Yeah I think more informative UI would be really useful, wish I allocated some more time to that and the audio as well. Thanks for playing!

It feels like you see too many potion rooms.

Developer

It's meant to be 1/3 chance equally for each room but I swear Unity rigs the chances lmao, thanks for playing!
