Nice game, pretty fun and addictive! Some sound effects could improve tha game a lot, giving the player more feedback.

This is the type of game I knew it would be submitted to the game jam, given the theme. And you executed it quite well. The controls of the main character is just perfect, fluid like a fish.

I also like that the sea gets darker whenever you sink deeper, as in my game ;)

tbh u made me remember a lost game i played in the browser the same concept  but the game could better with sound effects and upgrades that feels upgraded like adding suits and it could be so cool if you made the lighting start fading and changing aquatic creatics so it could feel diving deeper nice game make sure to do this feedbacks and this game could be the part2 of my lost played game nostalogia

Thanks for your comment! I was inspired by the feeling of nostalgia to old flash games where you'd shoot a rocket into space and reach just a bit higher every time, with upgrades.

I was planning on having more upgrades and different visuals for the player, but sadly I over-scoped (again) and had to cut these features. I might work on it a bit more afer the jam to make it more polished. Thanks for the suggestions!

Hey! Thats a great take on the concept. Pretty minimalistic, but also very fun and addictive. Nice eye for the little details like the animation with the baloon when you accend. The first few rounds i tried to dodge the fish to fins some coins... >_>
