How does your game fit the theme?
In The Descent, you *dive deep* into a cave system to find an ancient artifact, all while battling off hordes of monsters trying to stop you.

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
I did all the code myself and I modified all the assets. Some of them are free assets from the Unreal Marketplace and Quixel Bridge.

Cool game! I really liked the movement. I initially found it a little hard but got the hang of things after awhile. The visuals looked nice as well, Nice Work!

Thank you! I had a friend play it and they also were very confused at first so I get what you mean lol, I will definitely try to expand the tutorial the next time I make a game like this. Thanks for playing it!

Honestly, it was mainly a sensitivity issue since I have a very high DPI. So I ended up missing attacks. Also once I realized there's health pick ups in the areas, things went pretty smooth!

Fun fast paced shooter! Even though the environment was simplistic, I really liked the mood, and because of the fast movement it didn't feel dull. I enjoyed my playthrough and was a bit sad when I got kicked out lol. Was definitely expecting a big boss after hearing that noise :D

Weapons felt a little wonky due to input buffering? More noticeable with the sword, where it kept swinging without my intent to swing.

Good stuff!

Thanks for all the feedback! I'm really glad you enjoyed it! I was definitely on the fence about the input buffering, I think I will remove it or modify it to reduce accidental actions if I ever continue working on this game. I also intended to have a boss at the end, but unfortunately I ran out of time due to school starting back up lol. Thanks again for playing, I really appreciate it!

A very cool game tbh! This was fun to play if you like to play fps shooter games. I also like the retro style look and the overall visuals. The only thing I could pin-point is to make more variety in gameplay and the levels :)

Also I would be happy if you want to check out my submission too ^^

Thank you for the feedback! I definitely understand what you mean about the level variety, I am not an amazing level designer but I'm working on it lol. I'll definitely check out your game as well, thanks again!
