Loved the visuals as well as the game design.

Nice visuals. Controls are snappy and responsive.

Module idea is really nice, but It feels like a lot of modules are bad, defensive and offensive ones occupy the same slot, maybe it's not as bad in co-op, but in single player that just makes defensive modules unusable.
Also having soo few modules really meant that you only stick with one as there's nothing more to try out, once you find the most damage dealing one (melee one) you'll most likely just stick with it.

Developer

Thanks for your feedback!

Glad to see someone sticking with melee ones :D
I super buffed its damage to compete with the others fearing its lack of range would be too big of a down side!

The sound design gives a great vibe. Can't play it multiplayer but overall the art and visuals are great too!

Developer(+1)

No worries, I had troubles finding someone to test during development too! XD
Thanks for giving it a try!

I cant find anyone to play it with but the visual, sound design and music was great. I think there should be a single player mode

Developer

Thanks for checking it out!

You can try step on the green box on the right of the gate to activate "Review Mode", which will make the game playable in single player!

Oh I didn't noticed. Thanks! I will give it another try

Wish I could have played with friend, seems like I missed out on exploring much of the cool mechanics on this one. Here's some take aways.

-Sound design was flawless, A+

-Entry room was dope, really liked it and being able to test mechanics before game starts. Again wish i would have had a buddy to try it with

-Assuming you already nerfed the HP of the boss to adjust to single player experience, it took too long to take down boss with default gun. I'd make the sunbeam your default gun, and make an even stronger version or triple shot version as a possible upgrade.

-Some of the power ups were useless, because they all competed for the same slot. I could see no reason to pick up shield or melee since I'd give up my ranged attack. There could probably be some strategising with 2 people but I feel like most people would rather have a ranged attack even then. I liked swapping stuff in and out but if you are going to add more utility items, having a separate slot for main attack and for utility items would solve this issue.

Overall I enjoyed playing your game, fun simple and polished with a seemingly cool take on theme that I unfortunately couldn't experience for myself :(

Developer

Thanks for trying it out!

Yep, bosses have about half as much hp in Review Mode (single player mode) compared to normal. However, the health are balanced around players using the stronger guns.

Good point on the issue with other powerups. The shield/walls are meant for player to use to dodge boss's full map attacks. Maybe I should have further buff melee to deal even more damage to compensate for its lack of range. Thanks for the feedback

Game was fun! good job, there was a lot going on during the fighting. I also recommend maybe having the player default to solo and having to swap to co-op instead of loading in default into co-op. Other wise fun game!

Developer

Hey thanks for trying it out!

Good point on making the game defaults to solo. I initially wanted to designed the game to be playable in playroom but had to give it up due to time constraints and got stuck in the "multiplayer first" mindset ><

Will definitely keep that in mind last time!
