i was SO excited to read this one and it did not let me down. i have so so many knight feelings!! i also liked how you didnt list who wrote what with the section, and i honestly forgot it was an exquisite corpse about halfway through, each section was so cohesive and your styles mesh really well together. their relationship is so… god. its so real and human and messy and you guys have painted such a beautiful picture of it together. and that END!!!! wow
MAN OKAY. first off incredibly cohesive as story, which should not be surprising given the writers, but impressive nonetheless. what really stands out to me here, though, is percy's slow but steady journey in figuring all of this out– the amount of emotion baked into the whole thing is really something.
ohh... emotions of percy and knight. i have a lot of thoughts on bad partner knight triumphant and percy taking on the mantle of the Lovers in their stead is so good.... sometimes you truly do have to bring your not-really-partner-anymore to a date night spot and cut all ties with them truly. standout part to me was 11- the way percy focuses not on don's feedback, but his partner left behind; percy stepping into the mantle of captain in a way so very different than knight's captaincy was. exquisite corpses are suuch a good format to combine with 12x100s and the story this zine tells is done so well.
