Say something about your game if you wanna! :D
Something important to me as the designer was to make a game which gives a message to people and that is game-design-wise good (as good as possible). Else I wish everybody lots of fun!

This game admittedly gave me bad vibes from the intro, but I don't think that is its underlying problem: I have no idea what to do or how to interact with things. I could move, but that was entirely based on intuition. I tried multiple buttons and clicking. I can't really judge the game further, so I just have the beginning to go upon, which feels... vaguely problematic.
I can't really otherwise give much feedback other than 'please tell me what button to press'.
Controls are listed on the game page ;)
Intro was funny and had cool art but some of the word choice and flow made it a bit hard to understand. Art and music is cool. Gameplay feels mostly polished and interesting. The glowly light that kills you isn't obviously a danger, I thought I died by hitting the fan. I think it was the third bat room but I somehow got the box stuck in a spot where I couldn't move it or get past it and had to reset, but good on you for making esc a level restart so I didn't have to replay anything. I tried talking to the bat again after completing it's level and it said something new, but I accidently skipped past it, and then any further talking just sent me back into the level. Maybe a confirmation option on if I wanted to go into the level would've been good. There's a delay in throwing on the monkey level, makes it a little harder to time but maybe that's fine. I wish I could claw in the air for this final level, hard to beat the clock when boxes are falling on top of my after attacking a box in front of me. Overall pretty cool and cute!
This comment gives me another very good impression, thanks! There again I'm not a native speaker and still very young, which my writing is just not on a stable level. I knew that it is a big weakness but it is how it is now hahahaha. Your game design feedback is 100% correct, thanks (at least I totally agree)! Yeah thanks for your quality comment!
This is just entirely personal opinion so feel free to disregard it but the mixture of the "serious" (or at least trying to be serious) story and the deez nuts jokes and the writing overall just felt a bit weird to me and I found the puzzles to be quite annoying. I appreciate that there is a skip button and a lot of work has obviously gone into polishing the game but the whole experience just did not click for me - but again it may be a me issue.
Thanks for the honest review! I will admit I am not a native speaker when it comes to english and overall I have never wrote extensive dialogues like that (especially in one go), to say that I had little experience for that. So your impression may be right. The intention is that this game appeals to everyone and the joke was meant to be a fun change to lift a bit up the mood. Some people may not like this constant depressive mood and to go a bit against that I decided to but a mood changer. But my bad writing might be so weird that it just harmed the game so yeah. Still in that case it is important for me that you understood my intention as I did it with purpose like many things in the game. Still thanks for your point on view on it. It is an important aspect on my games to work on.
I'm not very good at using skills so I couldn't clear it, but it's a really fun game!
If you wanna clear it you can press T at any given time in any room with a door it will open! (Just to see the ending! ;) )
deez nuts, the epitomy of chaos
first of! i cant belive you would DEEZ NUTS us?!
second like the bat puzzel and monkey puzzel, but the headghog one i could not realy figur ou.
there seems to be a problem with the sound when the game transitions betwen seens aswell
Thanks for sharing your experience! Regarding the sound problem I don't really know what you mean. The music should go fine and the sfx should too (theoretically hahaha).
ah i mean like right afater talking to any of the animals the screen gose dark and the sound seem to glitch befor the puzzel begins
Oh! ok didn't knew about this one. Thanks hahahaha!
This game is so fun to play! I love the mix of puzzle and platforming mechanics, and all of the challenges are really well designed! The art and sound also are really nice and polished, it really emphasises the mysterious vibe you have going on here. Cool game!! :D
Thanks for your feedback! It was really important for us to make an atmospheric game for the immersiveness and having a good story with a good gameplay!
The game looks so good! I love the art and the cutscenes too :0
Everything is working very fine together. I loved the physics on the nut (also, good joke) and the cat movement. It's incredible that this game was made in six days! Congrats!! :)
Was a ton of work but I really think it payed off! I also wanted it to be more a serious atmospheric game ...... but we needed a joke and DEEZ was just too good to not be putted in the game hahahaha! Thanks for playing! (Will check your game!)
I Like The Art
Thanks!
This was so fun! I really liked the abilities and puzzle design. The art and transition effects were really nice too.
Thanks you for checking the game out! I putted a lot of energy and time into the puzzles/designing them and even playtested them a lot with my artist. Nice getting good feedback on it!
Wow, this game is amazing! I also made a game, can you rate it?
Absolutely! Thanks for the kind words!
I played your game! Was nice. Would also actually like to know what you liked from the game! (Or didn't)
Thanks in advance!
Awesome game, i had a little visual bug with the "Press escape to skip cutscene", every time the intro switched scenes it appeared for a milisecond.
I played the downloadable version.
You can also spam click the start text and it does the sound even in transition.
Very creative skills, i like the ball one, also while you are in ball form you can still use the needle so that may be unintended, and if you spam the e key you can also stop the ball midway and do it again really fast in another direction. The platforming is pretty good.
This one is a little bit nitpicky but you should be careful of gaps that look like the player could go through them but can't, also in my first playthrough i didn't see the wooden sign so i didn't know it was a decision to talk to each animal.
The level design is pretty neat, level 3 ball should be better balanced i think, i like the idea of having to jump on a flying box, that´s cool, but the timing is weird, the "jump here!" text wasn't that useful.
The level one from the monkey i spotted a bug where i stuck the nut below the box and couldn't complete the level.
I didn't understad the last level, i just destroyed the boxes and won.
Now for the story, the concept and message is good, but i didn't feel like it was very connected to the gameplay, i get that the cat had identity crisis, but that was because the other cats didn't like him, what changed during the adventure? Did the cat realised it was fun to be a cat? or that being black didn't have anything to do with misfortune? I get that we tried to be like the other animals and that wasn't our identity, but why? Can't a black cat be a cool bat too? Maybe a reason as to why the cat couldn't become the other animals or that he didn't need to change it's identity would be good, but that's probably due to the time constraints of the game jam.
Or maybe show the other animals accepting the cat for who it is but maybe that's what the ending hints at.
Very cute art, i liked it very much. Good job to your team!
Thanks IvCill for your humongous comment!
You really brought important questions to the board!
It was hard to make the game in every aspect perfect and thanks for pointing out some possible improvements!
The last level should be a nice change of space and there is actually a strategy that can been followed. most of the tiomes and you only spam attack .... than you will most likely not get to the top.
About the story I will say the following. The game doesn't talk about what you should identify yourself as a person or what you wanna be. What I wanted to tell is that we shouldn't search ourselves in others and that we shouldn't change based on others what we are. Every person should always act with it's reason and not only with their rationality (Kant ethical base concept) and eventough this ethical concept is primarily directed towards the behaviour of the other cats it also touches the the overall thinking. So deciding to find your existence in others doesn't help yourself and also not the others. The most important thing is that you search what you wanna be and develop yourself twowards it. The message couldn't be perfectionized in 6 days and regarding the amount of gameplay this game should also be seen on a perspective of a game jam game. Regarding your critisisim as a suggestion though it is totally a point to improve.
Thanks for playing!
Yeah, a lot of what I said is just an opinion, I brought that up because the average player that doesn't know you or didn't read that may not get the message across,
My point was that yeah, the game is about not searching ourselves in others and to not try to change for them, but the main mechanic is doing that, and if you don't, you can't reach the ending, so you still have to try to imitate others to find yourself (if we don't count skipping the levels, that actually would be more in line with the message I think). Because yeah, you say we shouldn't try to change for others, but I didn't see the consequences of doing so. Just giving something to think about.
You say that we shouldn't find our existence in others, but we exist because of others, when we are kids we look out for our parents, we have idols, we have celebrities, we have superheroes, and not just people, every idea is born from others, not just divine revelation, and by holding Kant's ideas, you are trying to be a little bit like him too I believe.
Maybe the idea that you really wanted to touch was reason vs rationality but I didn't see that in game.
I could also be misinterpreting things so sorry if I'm wrong!
Don't worry about the state of the game too much, It doesn't have to be perfect and it's perfectly functional and good as how it is right now.
You are taking things a bit personal and interpreting things a bit on your own (There is very important text you might have skiped). I understand your point of view but I don't share it at this point. If you would like to talk more about it I suggest you to write me on discord! Thanks!
Really liked the art and the music in the game. There are some issues with the level design as I was not able to cross a few but that can also be a skill issue XD. Overall, the effort for the art and the background animations were great. Was it a fog shader or particles effect. I am curious to know. I am new to game development so can understand how much you put in for this game. Keep up the great work!!
First of all thanks for commenting!
We putted a lot of time optimizing the levels and it is quiet powerful to say that there are issues hahahahaha. I know there are some (bigger :D) problems as there was so much more stuff to do as the story, message and meaning of the game (to name a few ;)), but issues is a hard word. So I would be very interested if you could explain me the issues or your unsatisfaction of the level design so I can understand it better!
Also yeah I used a cool shader to make the fog! It really was a cool addition at the end and with the reverb I gave the audioplayer in the game it really made the difference between a good and amazing game (in it's feel ;) ).
Thanks for your rich comment!
Yes, issue is indeed a hard word. I guess I wasn't able to clear the level maybe due to skill issue. We can connect once, and you show how to cross it. I assume it is mostly a skill issue and not an any level design issue :)
Not necessarily actually hahahaha! It is hard to balance everything and it's far from perfect. There might be something to improve and there are many things that can already be improved. Making different assets for lamps in monkey and bat. Overall mixing all the different ideas with the same assets is really not clear design. But yeah thanks for responding! If you are interested for a solution I can send you a video via discord sooooo jup!(same name by the way)
Sure. I will dm you in discord Hifo.
The art in this game is really good. I tell a lot of work went into it
Indeed! I worked non-stop on it with my team helping me as much as they could. The result is very satisfactive! Thanks for your eye on this aspect <3! (Will play your game tomorrow)
The world building is on point! Love the atmosphere + the game is very well polished.
Thanks for your comment <3!
The art looks great and the sounds are done so well. Creative puzzle mechanics too! Well done, this was fun.
Thanks for the compliments! (Will check your game ;))
Awesome!
Thanks! (Will check your game!)
I really love the art and music, works purrfectly (sorry)! I like that so many gameplay features were implemented, and cannot express enough how AWESOME the PLOT is. It is HILARIOUS
I didn't like though how tricky the gameplay itself was, some features worked weird (like lamps in monkey's level) and I lacked tutorial (maybe that's just me), and some features were just a little too annoying (like a tricky jump on bat level)
But overall a great game with a good message! :)
The game is by far not perfect but it implements a lot of ideas and I'm happy to see other people appreciating them! The time was short to polish everything and I think my team and me did a great job polishing the most out of. Thanks for playing!
We are glad to welcome your feedback!
