I tried the game and it was really interesting! The flap mechanic is interesting, but VERY difficult to work with.

I got completely stuck on the second level and I don't know if I'm just not understanding something or if it's that difficult on purpose. If so, the difficulty curve is just really steep, making the game hard to get into, even though the main mechanic is interesting.

There is also a lot of RNG involved as, when you start the level, the player falls into the starting area and rotates slightly. This means that you can end up facing a random direction unless you start flapping immediately, which is really uncontrollable with how fast it is.

I hope my review was helpful and I wish you luck for the game jam. :)

Great idea to have the paddles as inputs, is the reverse of direction which makes it doubly difficult but not impossible.  Simple idea which comes together well.

Hi,

I've tried your game and here's what I think about it:

  • The flying mechanic is very cool and I've never seen it before, good job on that!
  • Having the chicken turn into an egg after a while is also a great idea, because of all the possibilities you receive from that.
  • The sound effects are well done!
  • Try to play-test the game with the player in mind before releasing it: I'm stuck on the second level and I've tried about 50 times to nail it. This could scare away potential players when they're playing your game.
  • Some visuals like a nest and a chicken would top the game of, but maybe that isn't the style you're going for.

I hope you can do something with my feedback :)
