This is pretty fun, but I think there are two small changes you could make that would improve the experience a lot. First, I don't think the lights should be the first thing to go out if you don't reach them in time. Cause on the first couple of tries, you don't know where anything is, so losing vision of the entire ship almost immediately makes it really difficult to know where to go to turn the lights back on. Also, unless I'm missing something, if the ship starts rapidly rotating, you're pretty much done for because the ship is moving too fast for you do do any minigames, which I think is a little unforgiving. But once you get the hang of it and find a good flow, it's pretty fun!

Developer

That is a really good point about the lights that I hadn't really considered. The alien encounter is what spins the ship rapidly and it does make it impossible to play basically, but it should only last under 4 full 360 degree spins. I did notice a bug after submission that if the framerate is too low you are locked in the spin indefinitely, so maybe that's what you experienced. Sorry if so, because it was very frustrating when testing on my laptop!

This game is tough!  I'm also playing on a trackpad and I think that is nerfing me quite a bit.  Fun overcooked type beat concept!

Developer

That would make it far more difficult for sure. The frantic nature of overcooked was definitely an inspiration!

I think that our games are quite similar; managing the different devices inside a spaceship. Loved the game! With more variety to the puzzles the game would be very fun to play with friends!

Developer

Yea I also thought that when playing your game, yours is far more methodical though lol. Glad you enjoyed!

I enjoyed this a lot! I found it difficult to keep going when the ship started shaking, because it would take you out of whatever mini game you were in. But once I got the hang of it, I was able to survive a couple minutes :D

Developer

Nice! The ship swaying is definitely the hardest obstacle to deal with in my opinion.

Very fun concept, I love how each component running out of power makes different things happen to the level, zero-g especially. Chaotic and stress inducing but that seems like what you were going for. Would be cool if the layout of the coponents or the level changed with every run to add even more stress. Great art, great music, great presentation!

Developer

Thanks, glad it was fun! I could add an RNG mode maybe as well. After the jam I'm gonna play around with difficulty options and that could be one.

This is like among us without the part where I argue endlessly with my friends 10/10. Loved all the mini games but I got a bit frustrated when the tilting of the ship made me exit them. I guess that's part of the game haha. Thanks for the experience. Cheers!

Developer

Thanks for playing, I'm glad you enjoyed it! I did debate about whether to keep that frustrating bit in or not, but I liked the strategy of timing when to do the minigames based on the tilt. It could have been communicated better that there was a range though.

this game is embodiment of hectic ngl, i like it!

Developer

Thanks, that's basically what we were aiming for!

This might be my favorite of the games I've played so far...

Such a hectic mashup of ideas, it really stressed me out in an engaging kind of way.

Will be sharing this with my friends

Developer(+1)

I'm happy to hear you enjoyed it so much, the stress was an intended part of the experience lol. I hope you were able to make it to the end, I know it is quite a lot more difficult than I had initially hoped. Thanks for playing!

it's a great minigame collection, they're like among us tasks. It could use some info telling you which system you're interacting with, some are easy to tell like the lights but others aren't as obvious. The art is fun to look at, a nice cohesive style.

Developer

Yea good point. That's something that didn't really cross my mind but would've been very easy to implement. Glad you had some fun with it!

It's quite fun. I really like the art style and the music. I do feel like it needs a gentler difficulty curve. Some time where not too much is breaking at once in order to get acquainted with each game, where it is, etc.

As it is right now it feels like it throws you into the fire and no matter how good I was at the games, or how hard I tried, it was never enough to keep things going for more than a minute or so.

Maybe that is just a skill issue on my part, though.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the feedback! I know the difficulty curve is rough, I had wanted to add the systems one at a time so that the player can learn each minigame and each negative effect, but I was pressed for time in the end. Definitely not a skill issue, though it was hard to judge how well people who did not work on the game would do. Thanks for playing!
