I really like this idea and the presentation, the gravity swapping controls did get a bit confusing at times though.
I'd suggest to make the path you're supposed to go and what can hurt you clearer, it's a bit confusing for me to see the offset and what might hurt me. Try to use different color coding and outlines. Clearer hitbox would be really helpful too.
Great job on the gravity by the way, I tried to jump early and attempted to jump over an entire section from the side only to fall flat outside lol
Trying to figure out where I can and can't go and what has and hasn't got a hitbox was very confusing at times. I beat the tutorial but was completely lost on the first level. The mechanics are really cool though. I like the variable gravity and movement.
Look at that lil worm guy
Gave much on Originality ! Would like to have super abilities for the worm :D , like grenades to manipulate the environment :D
with all due respect, the worm is oblivious to war and weaponry and i really really dont want to tell him.
thanks for playing!
I played the browser version, and it ran surprisingly well all things considered. The platforming around the uneven terrain of the french guy was fun and playing around with the gravity let me experiment with getting around obstacle in ways the designer might not have intended. I love the art of the frenchman, its was very charming. However it was often unclear what exactly the worm would latch onto and start following. I died a few times because the worm switched direction after jumping on to a wall above and I moved the wrong way. You could fix that by giving the worm an eye on one side or something. At one point while I was in the shoe I phased through a platform to one on the other side and skipped a portion of the level (speedrun strats, babee). Not sure if that's a result of weird hit detection baked into the code or if that was just a specific part of the level.
A very creative idea with fun level design, but a little lack of clarity on how the player will interact with the environment. Good work!
Also, what is wrong with this man's feet?! I'm no doctor, but I'm pretty sure that man has too many toes.
im chuffed to bits that the browser version ran well. and i shouldve added an eye or something, you're right- going back to it moving around can feel kinda frustrating,
and i dont know if you noticed, but i designed his shoe in a way that prompted you to think he only had 5 toes and then immediately threw you from your celebral security where each toe is "well behaved" and "uniformly spaced". i think he has around 30 toes all in all?
Brilliant
Very unique game and take on the theme. I love the presentation and vibe that you were going for but I found the difficulty was quite high and I got stuck a lot.
