Rules regarding AI?

A lot of communities are torn surrounding the involvement of AI. Some are hard-ban against it, whether it be assets or just prototyping. You mentioned premade assets that you made yourself.

I think AI Slop is fairly noticable, and is generally associated with low quality. I'll likely be leveraging AI to help with some of the development, and would like to use AI as reference material for the art I'd intend to trace/clean up/normalize to match the theme.

Wanted to know if there were any hard and fast rules that your team uses while developing.

I dont think we shuold follow rules that are hard to enforce in an online scenario, besides AI and LLM development is here to stay, as creators we should embrace it instead of fighting against it.

There will be no rule regarding the use of AI. This is mostly because we think it is understandable for beginners to get some help and inspiration, and it won't affect the results that much. It's mostly because that we rate the games mostly based on fun gameplay and creativity, so if someone do everything with AI, it gonna be kinda bad to be honest
So, it is welcomed to use AI as reference material, inspiration, and research too

Good luck!
