While game jams are just for fun and it doesn't matter who wins, everyone want to win a game jam for once, even if you're a beginner. That's why we created Beginner Game Jam, an event made specifically for newbies!

While popular game jams having thousands of participants and often dominated by experienced developers, in Beginner Game Jam, it is created with an aim to help participants to not just compete, but learn. Smaller number of people, longer time span, and more opened theme, all these features will surely bring about advantages for those who just enter the world of game development

The Theme for Beginner Game Jam is Healing

October 4th, 2025 - October 18th, 2025

• Only developers with less than 1 year of experience can enter (Game jams after all are made to learn and have fun, so if you're intermediate, please understand and respect the rule)
• Follow the theme (While the theme will be very opened, please follow it in the most creative way possible)
• Every engines and tools are allowed
• Pre-made assets are allowed
• Both teams and solos are allowed, so you can have fun alone or with your friends!

• Fun (Yeah, fun games = good games)
• Creativity (You don't have to be an expert to be creative, so just make the most unique game you can think of)
• Theme Fit (Not just about how well the game fit the theme, but how far does the game explore the theme. Be creative!)

Because we expect Beginner Game Jam to be a small size event, and we want to make it as fair as possible, only Judges can vote. And don't worry, cause we will make sure to play every game carefully the momemt it's submitted. Fair!

• Best Game
• Most Fun Game
• Most Creative Game
• Best Use of Theme
