To what extent would Twine macros be allowed?

Hey, so I started working on something thinking I'd submit it to this jam, but now I'm realising it might not fit within the jam's constraints. It's a Twine essay, and I use some basic Harlowe macros (stuff like link-replace:, event: etc.) to generate some unexpected reactions for some of the links. Graphically I've kept Harlowe's default formatting. I think it's all very low-tech, especially as I've just started learning Twine a couple of weeks ago so I can't do anything very fancy, but now I don't know - would this kind of stuff be allowed? Or is just basic linking to passages allowed on Twine?

Thank you!

Twine macros that are built into the twine format would be okay to use, so link-replace is fine.
