Really not a fan of these tactics style games where I have to micromanage my entire team.

I just find it incredibly tedious clicking over and over for every single thing. Especially when the map is very large and there is a specific tiny tile that I need to click on.

I would much prefer a different combat system, but that's probably a big ask.

From what I saw I really liked the story and presentation. I was really intrigued when the whole town is trapped in never ending snow. It was kind of jarring switching from the detective to the orphan to the army gang, all that jumping around makes me dizzy.

Let me say: I really want to enjoy this story, but it's very hard for me to go through some very mentally demanding gameplay sections just to get it.

Thank you for playing. I know a lot of people don't like the tactics stuff overall since it is a niche genre. But I will take into consideration with handling plot details and gameplay balance.

just some qualifications to my feedback:

It's a free demo, I'm not invested like someone who would be willing to pay for this.

did like final fantasy tactics. Something to note was that game had very small maps, meaning I could see the entire battlefield and click on the relatively large tiles much easier.

Thank you for that insight. If I ever make anything else like this again, I'll make the maps a lot smaller/compressed than they are here.

It feels like you want to tell some big, interesting story, but I just can't get into it. Too many new characters and events introduced in a short time span. Anime type exposition dialogue for the orphan backstory. Giant lore dump immediately after starting the robot route. I don't mind reading, but there are also problems with writing in my opinion.

I understand you want to explain why the healer wears the witch doctor outfit, but it ruins the mood. Lots and lots of typos. Cartoonish villains. And then there are assets.

Pictures of real(istic?) children right after discussing some heavy stuff - really didn't feel right about that. The art direction is alright, but it feels like you got assets from different places - both in terms of character portraits and character sprites.

Combat is fine, probably. Got a party wipe on the second fight with the town defense part. Probably because I made a mistake.

I'm sorry, but I can't see myself playing it.

Thank you for playing. I'm still learning how to write good stories in general and I agree there are some bumps to push a lot along for the general gameplay loop. The assets were made using photoshop and a combination of drawing and using assets as structure for certain stuff (faces, hands, human structure) which is why it looks that way. There is a lot of photo editing involved to make something unique. It's not the best way to make graphics but for something slightly off putting it works well. I also understand not many people like Tactic like games like this.
