I think the GBC artstyle ended up pretty alright in 3D.

Cool idea! My main issue was that I wasn't 100% sure as to how I was supposed to place my defenses, so I ended up creating a mess XD. I'd say that a first, easy wave to give the player a sense of what's to come, would give a better idea of how to use resources for when the real invasion start. Then again, tower defense like games aren't my thing, so probably I'm just dumb XD
I like this tower defense-like game. The graphics follow a concise aesthetics. My only complaint is the time it takes between waves. I wish the "make night" was free, and that it would speed up the time when all enemies are dead for the next wave. Because of this issue with taking too long, I dropped it on the third wave. But if that wasnt the case, I would spend like an hour playing it. It is really cool.
You are absolutely right! I forgot to add the frame delta to my time calculation and when I noticed it, the jam was already closed haha. I'll send a fix as soon as the jam ends!
