You've absolutely nailed the Famicom look and feel! Most people only remember the Nintendo classics and a few other epic debuts (Castlevania, Final Fantasy etc.), but short sports games like these were also pretty common. I have a bootleg Famicom with a "101 in 1" cartridge that I used to play a lot a few years ago and there are dozens of similarly structured games in there. If I booted that console up and found your game there, I honestly wouldn't be surprised. I haven't played all entries of this jam yet, but I'm pretty sure this one deserves a spot among the most authentic retro recreations. Really great job!

My only suggestion would be having little sprites of the curling players. One that throws the stone and two that skate along the ice and brush the area in front of the stone, as seen on the cover. That would be the cherry on the cake!
